OVERVIEW: He is very intelligent. His mind works out patterns, riddles, and puzzles much faster than the average person. Atticus's IQ is well above the average person. Atticus can be a pretty reserved person, and he doesn't particularly go for small talk. He much prefers depth to his conversation opposed to pretension. He's a very patient man and can wait a long time before getting something he wants.
Atticus still has a bit of innocence about him. He's never had a real girlfriend before, nor has he really experienced anything traumatic in his life. Often times, he doesn't realize how charming his boyishness can be, and remains oblivious to women who pine after him. Whenever he does decide he's ready to have a relationship, he wants it to be a monogamous commitment. Someday he'd like to get married and have children; that's one of his major goals in life.
Social gatherings are funny things to him. He'll enjoy the occasional party every-so-often, but he's definitely not a party animal. His drinking habits are minimal. He's a very quiet person, but he understands a lot about people and is very empathetic. He's a good listener and is always willing to give advice to a friend in need. Some people say he reminds them of a little lost puppy dog. Atticus doesn't particularly like this comparison, but he understands why people would think that way.
Atticus is very active physically. He enjoys sports, and loves to hike and rock climb. He enjoys being outside, and when the weather is permissible, he spends the majority of his days outdoors when he isn't working. Part of the reason why he's unhappy with his job is because he has to spend a lot of his time indoors and inside of an office. He'd much prefer to be in the wide open world. Atticus also has a fond love of animals, and considers his pet hedgehog and dog to be his best friends.
There is still a little bit of the nerdy high school boy in him. He still plays Dungeon and Dragons and reads comic books, but he only discloses such information to his close friends. A lot of his Saturdays are spent gaming with a little group. He also enjoys literature and reading. Ernest Hemmingway is his favorite author, but he also enjoys some of Shakespeare's works.

HISTORY: Atticus was born on the third of May in Manchester, England. His father was a secondary school physics teacher and his mother was an English teacher in the same school district. The family lived fairly ordinary lives. Atticus enjoyed spending time with his parents. His mother loved to bake. Atticus particularly liked her snickerdoodle cookies. When he was three, his mother had another baby named Nathan,
During his early childhood, his parents noticed that he was fairly quiet and didn't like playing with the other children. They were worried that something was wrong with him, so they sent him to a specialist. The specialist said there wasn't anything physically wrong with him, and advised his parents to try and get him to interact with other children his age as much as possible. His parents got him a dog to see if he'd interact with it. She was a beautiful golden retriever named Jessie. Atticus loved her so much. She was his best friend.
He grew up quickly. As a child, he liked to climb trees and run around wide open fields with his little brother and dog. Days like those were the best for a young Atticus. Soon it was time for him to start attending school. Atticus was a quiet child in primary school. Many of the teachers liked that; he was a nice change when compared to his loud classmates. When he completed primary school he moved onto secondary school.
In secondary school, Atticus was an excellent student. He got top marks in English and History, was the captain of the football (soccer) team, and played the trumpet in the school orchestra. He was a well rounded student, an academic, an athlete and musician. He had a fair amount of friends, but didn't like having a large circle.
When it was time to attend university, Atticus wanted to go to a good school. Actually, he wanted to go overseas and study in America. A lot of the kids in his class thought it was silly for him to apply to schools in America. After all, there were perfectly decent schools in the United Kingdom. His parents wanted him to go to Oxford or Cambridge. But Atticus was adamant on going to America. He ended up getting into Stanford University. Soon after graduation, he was on his first ever plane ride to California.
At Stanford, he majored in political science with the intention of going onto law school. He was a good student but certainly not the best. Stanford was full of brilliant people, and Atticus fell somewhere in the middle. Many girls pined after him. Apparently he was very charming, and he didn't even know it. But their attempts at dating him were futile; Atticus was far too into his studies to think about dating. After graduation, he got into Stanford Law and excelled. When he got his JD, he applied to become an American citizen.
A year or so after graduation, he worked some odd jobs here and there. He waited a few tables and worked at the grocery store. Eventually, he was offered a job as a lawyer in New York City. He picked up his belongings and moved. He quite enjoyed city life and didn't mind his job, though, it wasn't what he expected. A few years after that, he got a job as an assistant DA. He's really not a fan of his job, but he stays in it because it pays well. Right now, he lives in a decent sized flat in Manhattan with his dog, Minerva, and hedgehog, Gandalf.
