Her father was a wealthy CEO of a very successful industry. Madeline's family never struggled with money. This has caused her to become very stuck up and arrogant. She loves expensive clothes and long vacations to Paris. in many ways her wealth has created the monster that she is today.
Even though she comes off as very confident and sure of herself, Madeline is actually quite insecure. She never really trusts her talents and tends to sabotage any competition she might have or make the odds be more in her favor. She hates to lose and for some reason she doesn't believe she can really win without playing dirty.
The only time she ever reveals her softer side is with her two kids. Madeline really does have a loving and maternal side.When she is around her children, she is a good person and does whatever she can to provide a stable home for her family.

HISTORY: Madeline was the first and only child to Justin and Ashley Frost. Ashley was a stage actress and Justin was a CEO. The family wanted for nothing, and as a result Maddy was spoiled rotten, literally. For all of her childhood and early adulthood, Madeline was raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. When she was a little girl, her parents insisted on homeschooling her, and then when it was time for her to go to high school they invested in the best private school they could afford.
The young girl loved fashion, and was always in awe whenever her mother performed in costume. At a young age, she started designing and making clothing for her dolls. When her mom discovered how talented she actually was, she invested in sewing classes. Madeline excelled, and caught onto concepts much faster than many of the other students.
In high school, she was the popular girl on campus. All of the guys wanted to be with her and all of the girls wanted to be her. When she realized how much power she actually had over the student population, she established herself as "Queen Bee," and always was dating the most desirable bachelor at school. When it was time for graduation, she applied to Parsons, one of the best design schools in the country. She got in.
College was a bit of a shock for her because she couldn't behave the same way she did in high school. There was competition, and most people didn't appreciate her snobbish personality. As a result, she turned to heavy drinking which only hurt her grades. A few years after she started college, she met a young, aspiring law school student named Benjamin who was studying Political Science at New York University. Maddy was making costumes for one of the plays at Tisch, and he was helping out the director. They fell in love, and he really helped her get back on her two feet.
At the young age of twenty, they were married. Ben continued onto Columbia Law School, and Maddy got her MFA in Fashion Design. Once college was completed, they moved into a nice flat on the Upper East Side. Maddy opened up her own design company, and Ben got a job as a lawyer for a top law firm in the city. With the help of her friends and parents, Maddy's company took off fairly quickly. Her designs were innovative and impressive. Soon, celebrities were wearing her name to events.
Four years after her marriage, she became pregnant with their first child, a girl she named Gabrielle. Gabrielle looked exactly like her mother, and her mother grew to absolutely adore her little girl. Another four years later, Maddy had a son named, Noah. In her eyes, her children were perfect. She wanted to see them excel no matter what the cost. When they were old enough to attend high school, she sent them to Hawthorne. Maddy tries her hardest to participate in the school. She's on the Parent Teacher Association, and chairs many of the events at the school.
