The year is 1981. The city: New York. There are many influential people that live in the city that never sleeps. Lawyers, investment bankers, politicians. The majority of them send their kids to Hawthorne Academy: a private school. Most of the kids at Hawthorne are the typical rich kids: spoiled. They make up the majority of the population. In the minority are the scholarship kids. These are the talented individuals who have earned their way into Hawthorne. You bet there's class warfare. For years, the dean has catered to the rich kids. But since the former dean's retirement, a new head has taken over, and she does not play favorites. After high school, many of the students move onto college, which is an entirely different beast altogether.
